Hello all, guidance needed :o)

We are Brits returning from living overseas with no real ties to any UK area specifically, which is making the hunt for a school & new place to call home even more difficult! School first seems to be the way to go......
We are looking for recommendations or definite no-no's of non-selective independent schools in the Bristol and surrounding towns in all directions.
The children (boy & girl) will both be in secondary and are happy with single sex or Co-Ed. Our eldest will be going to uni.
Cheers

Sidcot has a lovely reputation. When people are critical of the senior school it is because they don’t push kids as hard as they could. Big focus on a well rounded experience that puts exams in context (not the be all end all). Very international student body, strong sense of values, and creative pursuits (art, textiles, drama, etc.) are particularly well supported alongside more traditional academics. Probably not the place for a student that thrives on competition and benefits from a bit of pressure, but a good supportive and diverse school.

we have friends who are very happy with Taunton, though that is a bit further from Bristol.
