Harrodian School and 11+ Entry

We are looking to have our child sit the 11+ exam for the Harrodian and are wondering if anyone has been through this process and how competitive is it? It seems they only have an intake of 50 pupils at this stage and my concern is irrespective of how well our child does in the exam, we may get trumped by a celebrity application.

We are a normal family and really not interested in the media profiles of some of the other parents but do feel it is a very nice school with great facilities and easy to reach from our home. Our child is quite academic and sporty and should do reasonably well in the ISEB but we are questioning whether this is really what they are looking at.

Any insights would be appreciated! Thank you!

We are sitting the exam as well. From what I’ve heard from parents in the year above, they are looking for an ISEB score of around 118 and above and they place a lot of emphasis on the interview. Given their junior school they don’t have a lot of places but we will give it a try because it seems like a great and happy school.
