Returning to college on UC

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could please help me.
I am looking at returning to college to complete an access to higher education course to enable me to later attend University. I’ve received my offer letter this afternoon confirming my placement on their full time course (15 hours per week)
Im currently self employed, on universal credit, single parent and I'm in private rental accommodation.

I have read so many articles stating that my UC entitlement will be affected if I return to education full time.

Please could I have confirmation on the following.

  • Would my entitlement change or stop completely if I was to accept the offer
  • Would I be expected to work during my studies if so how many hours (trying to forward plan income/expenditure)

Any assistance would be appreciated, I have tried for a few weeks discussing this directly with UC but they won’t give me an answer. My next steps will be discussing it with citizens advice but getting an appointment is extremely difficult.

I really want to complete this course and later complete a degree to enable me to meet my career goals and make and better life for me and my daughter, I just need some guidance that I’m not going to be stung by UC before making this change.

Thank you so much in advance.

Are you sure 15 hours counts as full time?
