Please tell me about year 8 scholarship classes in private preps

Hello,

LO will join the scholarship class in their academic private school next year.
LO is very able but has not needed to spend that much time prepping for exams or doing home learning thus far.

LO will sit exams for an academic scholarship and an ‘all-rounder’ at their senior school.

I’m a little worried year 8 will be a big step up. How challenging is it?

Depends on so many variables... your school, your DD's ability, and which scholarships she's targeting. Each year is always a step up, but I assume as the school is making the decision to move her up to that set, they think she's capable!

Thank you. Yes, LO is very capable. They will sit an academic scholarship and an all around scholarship. The senior school is selective but not one of the notorious hothouse's.
