Secondary school appeal complaint

Hi all,
sorry to bother you all again. I had my appeal yesterday for secondary school and I was wondering a few things.
number one was when it came to my turn to ask question I was told to keep it brief because of the amount of people they had and this put me on the spot and I didnt get to ask 2/3 questions I had.

secondly i had correspondence with the school who informed me the school had gone over pan and there were previously successful appeals so i ended up writing about this in my appeal but the lady who was representing the school mentioned how they were no successful appeals in past and the school was not over pan.
Also i requested the school a few times to send me details on previous 2 years and if they had gone over pan they reassured me it was in appeals document pack which i couldn't find.
can i also ask if a appeal was not successful how do the school go over pan?
look forward to your responses.

They may have taken children who were high priority, such as those with an EHCP who named the school.

"when it came to my turn to ask question I was told to keep it brief because of the amount of people they had and this put me on the spot and I didnt get to ask 2/3 questions I had."

At the hearings I've attended, the Chair asks people if they have more questions. However, unless there is a record of you being prevented from asking questions, I don't think you'd get far with a complaint.

"secondly i had correspondence with the school who informed me the school had gone over pan and there were previously successful appeals so i ended up writing about this in my appeal"

Did you include the correspondence as evidence? If not, the panel would not have been able to take it into account.

"Also i requested the school a few times to send me details on previous 2 years and if they had gone over pan they reassured me it was in appeals document pack which i couldn't find."

Again, it might have been helpful to provide the correspondence as evidence. When you saw that it wasn't in the pack, did you contact the school again?

"if a appeal was not successful how do the school go over pan?"

EHCPs which name the school, fair access protocol admissions, and managed moves (aka "offsite direction").
