"Has anyone else started a new one?"

Yup. We should decide on one, so that we won't be on the wrong thread when Sune's answers appears!!

Has anyone had experience with the St.Pauls Steiner School...

Thebee · 15/04/2008 15:32

An Ofsted inspection report from 2007 on the school is found here.

If you search here with 'Steiner Waldorf', you find 32 Ofsted inspection reports on Steiner daycare providers and independent schools in the U.K.

1964 - I have some info. about this school. CAT me if you want to.

Thebee · 15/04/2008 21:26

For an informative article on Waldorf education, see the Wikipedia article on the subject.

For a description of the site of a small anti-Waldorf fringe group in the U.S., that Northern recommends as "information" about Waldorf schools, see here.

For more on Waldorf education in general, see Waldorf Answers and Why Waldorf Works.

Good luck!

Thebee · 15/04/2008 21:38

Hi 1964,

For a description of and specific comments on the main page of the site of the small anti-Waldorf fringe group, that Northern recommends as "information" about Waldorf education, see here.

As you may have noted, Northern is one of a small numbers of supporters of the fringe group that pursue a witch hunt against Waldorf education here at MN since some months in all Steiner related threads.

zzooey · 15/04/2008 22:04

I advise you to entirely disregard what Thebee writes. He's a follower of the anthroposophy cult. All web sites he refers you to are his own (even the Americans... site, though he's not an American at all... and not a parent and not a teacher - just a follower of a religious cult). The wiki entries are controlled by him and his fellow cultists. It's not an independent source. It's propaganda.

Do not believe it.

Thebee · 15/04/2008 22:16

Zzoey is a member of the board of the small anti-Waldorf fringe group in the US discussed, since four of the seven members of its board left the ship some time after last summer. They needed new blood and Z has been one of the most fervent supporters of the small anti-Waldorf group on the net for some months, in term of number of postings everywhere. They like her.

The other is Northern.

This is Zzoey's mascot.

Bee also pretends he is a woman called Eva52
Please think carefully before you get yourself involved.

Of you could read eva52/sune/bees posts - it should give you a clear picture of the dark underbelly of steiner education
Look beyond the organic food/art/gnomes/nature

I am from the uk and me and other mums here have nothing to do with bee and his ramblings against wc (waldorf critics)
we are all ex parents or pupils from what I can gather all over the world.

I can only conclude that TheBee/Eva52/Sune Nordwall is paid by the anthroposophical movement to track any negative comments and try and silence it.

Thebee · 15/04/2008 22:23

Nah. It's purely a hobby, based on 10 years of experience of the small anti-Waldorf fringe group and its argumentation over the years.

northernrefugee39 · 16/04/2008 07:52

Talk to Janni, she seems to know .

Thebee is in Sweden

I'm not a "member" of any board, I'm a Mum in the UK who's kids had a dreadful traumatic time at Steiner school, on top of not getting ashred of education.
Thebee has no kids, isn't as far as I know, because he doesn't answer qustions, involved with a school. He is however a fervant defender of the anthropohophic cult. And would do almost anything it seems to protect the image he wants of it, rather than the unsavory.

Thank you for alerting the MN readers to how my dog looks. He is cute, isn't he?

Anyway - you know, sometimes it happens that people have to do other things - they leave a board or an organization for a while. I have done so myself in the past. It does not mean anything other than having to do something else in life. It IS entirely natural that a board's members change from time to time. That's an absolutely common thing.

I suppose you find that odd, because you yourself have been obsessed full-time with one and the same cause for most of your life. You're whining about the same things that occupied you 15 years ago.

Most people don't work like that. That is something I think you ought to start recognizing.

And for the sake of correct information - my experience with the tragic underbelly of steiner education is actually real (in contrast to thebee's - he's only an anthroposophy adherent). I went to waldorf for 9 years.
