Ours are around 7.5% lfl but for dd will be higher as she moves up in the fee structure. Anyone else had theirs yet ?

LIZS - I think we are in a similar geographical location - ours have risen on average 6.25%, but some additionals - coach travel, lunches etc have risen by 7.5% or more.

Millarkie · 30/03/2008 16:02

Ours go up in January - was 5% this year so we got off lightly.

Hulababy · 30/03/2008 16:17

DH is still in shock with ours - no rise in fees

However, they are going to start charging for after school club at £3 a session (to fit in with policy at all the other local independent schools), so for people using that there is a rise in real terms. This will mean a £3 a week rise for us.

marialuisa · 30/03/2008 16:52

5.75% across the whole school, but my DD, like yours, is moving into the juniors so there's an extra cost there. As they always point out though, it's cheaper than the comparable schools in the area!

SueW · 30/03/2008 16:56

Ours is 5%.

But DD is moving from Y6 to Y7 so we will have a 21% rise in fees (and that's with a 24% scholarship discount!)

carolyn20 · 30/03/2008 22:12

4.5% here.

Hulababy · 31/03/2008 09:12

Quite a range then?

Quattrocento · 31/03/2008 09:14

Around 6% here

Interesting range . We didn't have as high as some last year. Various anticipated rises in overheads and longer term projects have been factored into this one. On the flip side we won't have to pay for any afterschool care or clubs for dd from September anyway.

Our school had a decent size rise last year, although seemed larger for s anyway as DD moved from PP1 to PP2 - which involved an extra rise anyway.

islandofsodor · 31/03/2008 22:36

We had our letter on Saturday.

Pre-prep going up from £2,000 per term to £2,140

But ds will starting in September so we will have two to pay for EEK!

SueW · 31/03/2008 23:52

I thought our rise would be higher because of building work that is going on.

It will be interesting to see what happens over the next few years as I am aware they have borrowed/will need to borrow to fund the expenditure.

Loshad · 08/04/2008 11:51

Ours is 4%, think the governors will have been under a lot of pressure to keep it low as school is doing vast building programme and we were assured it wouldn't be going on our fees but coming out of capital reserves.

ScienceTeacher · 08/04/2008 12:02

We got the letter at the weekend. 4.7% increase, taking it up to £4455 a term.

snorkle · 08/04/2008 13:40

Ours was 4.9%.

duchesse · 08/04/2008 19:03

Ours up nearly £400 a year- from £8900 a year to £9300.

Loshad · 09/04/2008 10:15

Big range is inceases as well as actual fees isn't there. Our new fees will be £9594/yr for seniors, £7160 for juniors, and £6318 fro pre-prep.

Loshad · 09/04/2008 10:17
