Advice/Experience with Primary Schools in Chelsea or Prep School?

Hi I’m currently trying to look into nearby schools for DD who is still fairly young. I was hoping to see if anyone has any current experience with this in the Chelsea area? We would like to get into a nice state school but I hear it can be a bit difficult.
We’re Catholic not CofE, does this make a big difference in what schools you can get into, even if you live close by? The other option is prep school, which we can afford but obviously wouldn’t mind not paying for school fees if we have a good state option. We would likely change to boarding or private for secondary, I’d assume this would be slightly more difficult coming from a state school? Possibly could move schools during primary to prep but I feel that would be upsetting for DC if they’re happy and settled. We mainly want a school that is nearby and one we could possibly walk to.

I was hoping to get some current information on these primary schools in Chelsea including Christchurch and Holy Trinity CofE, St.Joseph’s Catholic primary, St.Barnabas, Oratory RC, and St.Peter’s Eaton Square CofE.

Also, what are the parents/families like at these schools? I like the fact there would be more diversity than at prep schools but do wealthy families tend to also send their children to certain ones? For example it seems that Christchurch tends to attract wealthier families than St.Barnabas even though they aren’t too far apart and both are in expensive areas.

In comparison, the nearby prep schools would be Garden House, Thomas’s Battersea, other single-sex schools etc… If you could get a spot of one of these schools is that preferable?

Hi, I really like Oratory and Christchurch. What did you apply for at the end? Thanks
