Advice on good primary schools nearish Reading

I am looking for any experiences on great primary schools near Reading.

I currently work in Reading and partner is moving to a job in Reading and so we are looking to move closer. Our family are all ‘south’ of Reading (Winchester to Fleet) and so would want to keep on the ‘south’ side of reading. We would need a 4 bed home and budget is slightly tight so are trying to find an area that is reasonable in terms of house prices (if that exists) as well as a great primary school with good afterschool activities too if that’s possible. Would love to be within a half hour ish drive of Reading.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I've not lived in the area for a while, but I enjoyed living in Crowthorne and there were some good primary schools.
