To Move To An Area With Good Schools

I need your help.

I'd like to find a nice area to move to, ideally with a detached 4 or 5-bedroom house priced under 2m. I'm also looking for options with good grammar schools and selective private schools.
I am currently considering the Woodford Green area, which is home to Woodford County High and Bancroft's.

Are there any other nice areas you would recommend?

Sutton Borough

The Twickenham side of Richmond Borough (e.g. Twickenham, Teddington, Hampton Hill), or the Petersham/Ham area on the Richmond side of the borough. It's within the Tiffin catchment, and all the schools are good or outstanding. It's also a great place for families - lots of open space, and extracurricular activities.

It's pricey, but 2m should get you a 4 bed.

Avoid Kew for now - there won't be enough secondary places in that area until the proposed new school is built at Mortlake Brewery.

@coclala Bancroft is private isn’t it? County wide grammars are in Bucks. They select around 25-30% of DC. If you don’t get a grammar you can get private or, if you are very savvy, live near an outstanding all ability school. The Amersham School would be an example. You would get a decent house for £2m. Or look at areas around Great Middenden for The Misbourne School. Both areas are in catchment for single sex of co Ed grammars.

For Amersham: Royal Masonic, Rickmansworth. Pipers Corner, Little Kingshill, Berkhamsted School in Berkhamsted. Or board at somewhere like Queenswood in Herts.

Private alternative to tiffin would be surbiton high school, Wimbledon high kingston grammar school (which is private not grammar)

@coclala private schools in the Twickenham area are St Catherine's, Radnor House and Lady Eleanor Holles (in Hampton). I've listed those in order of increasing academic selectivity.

Sorry, that answer assumed you were looking at schools for girls, but you may not be.

St Catherine"s is girls only
Radnor House is mixed
LEH is girls only, with Hampton Boys School being it's neighbouring equivalent.

Private alternatives to non such and Wallington girls would be Sutton high, Croydon high, woldingham and Wimbledon (assuming girls).
