Bursary and car on lease

My DD is receiving bursary. For me its time to change car, our workplace offers Salary scarifise scheme for EV. Looked at some of cheaper ones and seems that my monthly outgoings would be less than keeping existing car. And added bonus is that I don't need to have deposit for it.
Would leasing new electric car be seen as me having new car or even luxury car even if I would save money at the end of year?
Just don't want to compromise existing bursary as i'm not even quite sure f any extra details...
Surely it should be seen as me actually making saving.
Any advice or experience with your cars and bursaries welcome.
Thanks

Given you already have a bursary, the best thing is to ask the current school. There isn’t going to be a generic answer.

they are on the look out for people
who buy a new Jag every year, not people
trying to save a bit of money via SS.
So long as you don’t go for a top of the range luxury model you should be fine.
