I am due to teach narrative with flashbacks after the Easter holidays.

I have taught this for the last couple of years but my pregnancy brain seems to have kicked in and I can't remember what I have used.

Matilda (pg cert) has one where Miss Honey remembers her childhood, I think

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Johnny Depp version) has a scene where Willie Wonka remembers his childhood and how his father, a dentist, wouldn't let him eat sweets and made him wear big metal braces on his teeth so they would be perfectly straight. I'm fairly certain this wasn't in the original story, though.

Saw some hilarious flashback scenes in Airplane yesterday on C5 - def not suitable for Y6, though! lol

the first Harry Potter, when Hagrid is explaining how Lily and James were murdered by Voldermort. I think it is set in the tavern they go to in London.
