Hi i have a 7 year old daughter, live in the uk. Can anyone suggest a affordable, good online class where my child can learn tajweed and the arabic language fluently, reading writing and speaking, inshallah. Thank you

I'm not sure about online classes myself, but I can recommend Foyles as a supplier of books and other materials for children beginning a language (and for adults too, of course!).

They have a large stock of Arabic items - there is bound to be something which will be the perfect start for a young learner.

The best thing to do is to visit some of your local Madrassah's and enquire about private tutoring via zoom/MS teams etc

That way , you can actually meet the person face to face , ask for relevant DBS etc and ensure your child is comfortable with them and likely to learn effectively from them .

Also if you are able to, take your child to a physical class it allows for learning in a social environment with other children at a similar stage and the fun element keeps them engaged .

Wouldn’t your mosque be best placed to help with this? Do they associated groups have places that educate children on this who, I’m sure would be happy to help educate your daughter?

We've tried a few platforms for Tajweed and Arabic classes for our kids, and one that really stands out is Meem Academia.
They offer live, structured online classes with experienced teachers who are great with children — patient, engaging, and knowledgeable in both Tajweed and Arabic. What makes Meem unique is that they combine traditional learning with modern tools, including their Qur’an Tutor AI, which gives instant feedback on recitation. It’s been so helpful for our kids to practice confidently between lessons.
Highly recommend giving them a try.
Hope this helps! 😊

Hey! I was looking for the exact same thing a few weeks ago, I knew the basics but needed something to really help me with the recitation rules and diacritics.

I ended up trying this site: sabilalquran.com/online-quran-recitation-course/

It’s honestly been super helpful! The lessons are clear, not too fast, and they explain things like the symbols and Tajweed rules in a simple way. It really helped me feel more confident reading again.

Hope it works for you too!

I use jannatulQuran for my childrens classes. They have a good online system where you can see what lessons are scheduled and it is easy to reschedule them as well. You pay online and you can see what invoices are due. I would really recommend them. You can ask for a free trial lesson before you commit.
