Cokethorpe/Bloxham

We are a family with 2 girls, currently in Yr 5 & 8. We are considering a move to Oxfordshire & Sept in the cut off really, due to our eldest starting Yr9 (which means moving our youngest for Yr6, annoyingly)
I’d love to hear any thoughts on Cokethorpe; it seems to have a good reputation, but always good to have first hand knowledge.
Considering Bloxham, but doesn’t work for the youngest. Any advice?!

I'm a Bloxhamist, I left in the early 2010s and adored my time there.
I'm hoping my 5 will attend when they're old enough, which will follow a move back home from Norwich. I'm sure they'd be a great help in that transition.

My niece currently attends and adores it. She has some additional needs, and although it isn't severe enough to require 1:1 support or much extra help, she is very much supported there.

Not firsthand experience of Cokethorpe but have met some leavers during my early adult years around Oxfordshire. Very well rounded people, with fond memories.

Are your children in independent schools atm?

depends where you'll be living.
There's so many schools to choose from in Oxfordshire.
What has made you narrow down to those two?

Looking to move around Charlbury. Looking for co-ed day places. Don’t want pushy schools. Seems like these fit the bill! Would love to hear any thoughts…

hmmm, I know more about oxford/south oxford schools.
Haven't heard great things about Cokethorpe, (bullying, and how it was not dealt with). Don't know about Bloxham I'm afraid. Neither school is known for being particulary academic if that helps? I'm sure other people will be better placed to comment on these schools.
How about Wychwood or D'Overbroecks in Oxford?

Does anyone know how I can sell some second hand Cokethorpe uniform please? It’s in v gd condition. Thanks

@NewLemonViper we went for Cokethorpe & have been really happy with it. The kids love school; can’t ask for more than that!
