Student Car Insurance

My son is starting Uni in January. Keen to keep his car at home for when he comes home and it is in his name. Has been working for the last 12 months so has built up NCD. Anyone got any ideas around best insurance for him? Looking at various student options including Marmalade but that seems to cover when the student wants to drive a family members car. Any advice would be appreciated!

We used admiral.
They were better than the so called student companies!

I wonder whether your own insurers would offer a reasonable quote on this.

I've heard that some insurers, Admiral is one company which springs to mind, offer discounts for insuring more than one car within a family.
