Broken 1/8 sized violin string-do I get a regular string and cut it down or can I get a special string?

Its an E string, I dunno if that makes a difference

no teacher as yet

in the provinces, so need to get it over the internet

you need a small size
try here - I used Dominant but they aren't the cheapest.

I always try to have a spare set in stock so if one pings you can replace it sharpish - not good for the violin to be unstrung for long.

am going to get a spare set too, any thoughts on the brand? I use dominant on my violin but am not spending £25-he is an absolute beginner!

they actually only have e strings for 1/8 size in dominant!

ok have spare set of cheapo strings for him also
