English language school help?

My French cousin wants his two DCs (9 and 12) to study English here for 4-8 weeks - like a language school - but they’d be happy to come and stay in England in an airBnb or something for the kids to come home to every night, so they don’t need a residential programme. Does anyone know of anything for that age? I have contacted a couple of prep schools that might consider it but wondering if we’re missing somewhere more set up for it?

The ones I'm aware of in the south west are residential, but I know that there is a lack of home stay hosts so they may be flexible on the accommodation side of things.

If you want south west, try Languages United and Bath Uni, or Millfield School.

Not sure if this is quite what you are looking for, but EF - Education First www.ef.co.uk/ do summer schools where children come from all over to learn English and have various activities. My DD was an activity counsellor for one of their camps and it seemed to be reasonably well run and organised, and the students certainly got a chance to practice English (not least because most of their activity leaders did not speak the language of the students!).

Thank you! Going to investigate all of these!
