I have never listened to an audio book so have no idea where to start tbh but dc is dyslexic and can't really read all that well so I'm hoping they can discover books this way. I am happy to pay for a service. thanks

The biggest paid-for service is Audible, which is part of Amazon. You can either pay a monthly membership of about £8 to get one book a month, or you can pay more for more books, or you can buy them individually - but that usually works out more expensive than membership credits.

Borrowbox or Libby you can use for free if you have a library card - it’s a great reason to sign up to the library if you’re not already.

Other places are Apple, or Kobo, or Spotify has just launched audiobooks too.

My reluctant reader loves audiobooks. (I do too!)

Check what your library offers, ours uses Borrowbox which allows access e-books and audio books for free.

The library. Ours uses BorrowBox. Have a look on your library's website.

There are libraries for print-disabled people;

Calibre Audio Library and
Listening Books.

Definitely try borrowbox. My DD loves it. Download the app and then log in ssing your library card. Different areas do have different books and audiobooks.

BorrowBox is great and free! Sometimes you have to wait for popular titles but there's always something available. I always get my daughter to download some stuff for long car journeys 😂

such a good idea @catsnore ! our dd gets tired from trying to read so that sounds like a great idea for the car
