Should we make her change schools?

Can you give me a bit of advice please.

We're moving house this summer and my daughter will be going into primary 7 in the new term (after the summer holidays).

Should we do the 20 min drive and keep her in the same school she is in just now with all her friends (none of them will be going to her secondary school in a few years)?
OR
should she join a new primary school, 5 min walk, in her new area and meet new friends in primary 7, so she'll know a few faces when she goes into seconday school in a few years time?

Thank u

If she is going to a different secondary as a result of moving, then it would be better she meet potential friends noe rather than later. Speaking as one who was moved frequently as a child, it is easier in primary. good luck withthe move!

I would move schools tbh. We did this at easter term last year, DD! went into final term of year 6 and ds1 into year 2. They both settled in really well and adapted easily as most children will do. Possibly more worrying for us, but we kept up with old friends and new ones and it all seemed to pan out.

My suggestion go with the new, especially a none of others will be going on to same secondary.
Good luck
