Recommendations for 'proper' atlas please?

Hi! I'm looking for a proper atlas. My son is in Y3 but I want to future proof... i dont want to buy one and then have to upgrade. Any recommendations? By proper I mean comprehensive on countries and well known main geographical markers

I think The Times does one but they will always need updating things change
