Kent test raw scores 2023 thread

DS is sitting the Kent 11+ next year and I'm wondering whether those parents who's DCs sat this year would be able to share the:

  • total standardised score
  • standardised scores for each
  • raw marks for each
-their age and months

I'm aware this hasn't been shared for a few years now but if anyone could share I'd be most grateful. I'm sure many other parents will be too! Thanks so much.

To be given a grammar school assessment needed a total score of 332 or more, with no single score lower than 107
The highest possible total score is 423.

Total score of 385

Maths = 132
English = 118
Reasoning = 135
Age is 10 years & 5 months

My son passed on headmaster appeal as his english score was 104, his other scores were high.

Congratulations for such a high score. Seems harsh that they took 9 marks for 23/25 in maths.

The miracle of percentiles to provide standard scores I suppose. There were quite a few comments of kids finding the maths easier than expected, which reflects that getting into the top percentiles requires almost perfect raw scores for maths this year.

@bungaloid
I was just wondering how you found out the raw scores? I'd like to know my daughter's raw scores for this year, as my son will be sitting the test in 2 years and will be the exact same age as her. So it would be really useful to know for preparation.

I emailed [email protected] and requested the raw score - I included the pupil id number as well as name and got an email back within a couple of hours.

It’s really interesting to see the differences in the standardised scores.
