Hello,

Due back to work after Easter (8th April). I know I have to stay for 13 weeks in order to not have to pay back my maternity pay. My question is, if I wanted to start somewhere new in September/not return to work in September, am I able to still resign by the May cut off date which would mean being paid over the summer holidays and being free from September?

Thanks for any answers 😊

Resign and put the 31st of august as you last day. As standard.

Yes you can. I did exactly that although I went back the week before half term, so I got paid for half term too.

You didnt need to fo that/m. Your return to work date could have been the first day of the holidays.
