Hi All,
So my DS has upcoming 3+ assessments at both St. John's (SJ) and St. Martin's (SM) schools (both in Northwood). Have any parents of boys who sat these 3+ assessments in the last couple of years, tell me what the schools were looking for? The schools say they are not looking at whether the kids know their numbers or alphabet - but more around the social interactions and curiosity etc. I've seen the rooms in which the boys will be playing in where they will be "assessed" but can someone tell me if the staff will be talking to the boys and asking questions etc? My DS is sociable and a generally happy boy, but around new people initially he is very shy and I'm a bit worried that they won't see him in his full light, if that makes sense. I guess what I am asking is, did any assessments seem to look like they went "bad" i.e. overly shy boys, clingy to the parents etc and still got an offer from the school?
Also - out of these 2 schools, which do you prefer and why?
