I was hoping someone would have some knowledge of Swansea secondary schools and which are best for children with ALN.
My daughter had a v poor experience with primary school - 3 year wait for an EP that never materialised and no additional support. No academic or social progress made, she left school age 9 unable to read. We have been home educating and she is now reading and progressing in maths too.
She has been privately (but reputable assessors) diagnosed with dyslexia, dyspraxia and ADHD. Probably autistic too but NHS won’t accept referrals from anyone other than school.
Anyway, she is secondary age in September and we are keen for her to return to school. Does anyone have any recommendations regarding schools in Swansea that are good in this area, given that she doesn’t have any arrangements in place for support. Our catchment school is bishop gore but we are open to travelling for the right place for her.
