Having visited, we're thinking of applying for our Y6 to go to Thomas Hall School in Exeter, but can't find any information online about it including an Ofsted rating. It used to be a Steiner school then was taken over by the Avanti Trust in 2019, and doesn't seem to have had an Ofsted inspection since. Now it's just been taken over by the Reach Trust and renamed again and the new website doesn't have much information on it (even the admissions policy is absent!). Does anyone know anything about this school, especially what it's like under the current new management / academy trust?

The school is generally well thought of in Exeter, but has a question mark due to the hangover of the old Ofsted report. It’s a shame that they haven’t had a new Ofsted inspection as the last one is 4 years old and was from the Steiner School. It an all through school so I’m considering sending my DC there for reception.

Unfortunately, the options aren’t great in Exeter. Isca, St Luke’s, West Exe, St James and the new Matford Brook are all run by the Ted Wragg Trust which is highly controversial (Google Ted Wragg Trust Exeter). This means that there is only Thomas Hall, St Peter’s and Clyst Vale Community College (just outside of Exeter) are non-Ted Wragg.

Apply! A lovely small school with teachers who really care and nurture the individual.

Did you find any info? I’ve only found website for primary school not highschool??

There was a new Ofsted report published last week.

It’s an all through school so they only have one website for the whole school. They don’t have separate websites for primary and secondary phases.
