11+ Kent test

My DD is in y5 & wanting to take the Kent test next year possibly to get into Knole Academy. I looked on the Kent CC website & it’s not on their of grammar schools for the area. It’s only has stream, rest of the school fully comprehensive. Does this make a difference when apply for the stream? Interested to hear from anyone with kids in y6 who just taken the test this week.

The 11+ has no impact on Admission into Knole; admissions criteria, after 24 arts aptitude places are by the pretty normal set of criteria - LAC, social/medical, children of staff, sibling, distance to home.

The grammar stream is made up of children who pass, or just fail, the 11+ who happen to get a place at Knole under the above criteria.

Your child would sit the 11+ , apply for Knole alongside your other choices, and then you tell Knole in December their 11+ result. If they then get a place at the school, then Knole figure out who should be in that stream from those who have been offered a place.

knole acadamey is not an amazing school, students often doing drugs, vaping ect.
