Hi my DS thinks he may have chosen the wrong 6th form. He is 2 days in so very early days. But there is no one around in his favourite departments , the school aren't running one of his chosen a level ( we already knew this). Not happy with one of the teachers . Is it too late to swap ? I would welcome any advice thankyou

No it isn’t too late but he needs to move before the October census date. We often get a few students transfer within a week or two of the start of term.

Definitely not too late, there are changes both internally within classes and external still, but better sooner than later! Good luck to him 🍀

I have twins in 6th form. Both are feeling a bit uncertain with their decision/unsettled, one in particular was wavering right until enrolment between 2 places. My eldest felt the same a few years back, friendship groups and timetabling clashes meant she felt all at sea.

I guess I'm saying it's more of a change than we perhaps give it credit for, and is perfectly normal to feel unsettled. I'd give it another week at least before making any decisions.

Hi I just wanted to give an update. He stuck it out, dropped one of the 4 Alevels he was doing. He has found his tribe and is enjoying it. Hurrah 😊
