Hi,

We need a private tutor for my daughter (i
English and Maths). She is 11 years old in year 7 and we need it for GCSE not 11+ exams. Will be pleased if you let us know where we can find a good tutor?

Thank you.

Hi. My daughter has just entered Y12 and is doing Maths, English and Spanish A-levels at a girls' grammar school. She just achieved 12 grade 9 GCSEs. She is happy to do online tutoring after school for £10 per hour. Message me if you're interested.

Get a local recommendation from another parent in your area. School WhatsApp groups. The website tutors are always less good quality & overpriced.

Have a look at Teachers To Your Home. We have used them a couple of times. They have a very good selection of teachers who offer tuition. Though not the cheapest, they also suggest pairing up with another friend to share the tuition and the costs, which is a really good idea.

My friends used Tutor Doctor and I may also have a maths and a maths/English recommendation depending whereabouts in se London you are exactly. Feel free to message me. Local Facebook groups are also great for parents exchanging recommendations, that’s what I used.
