Woolwich and Plumstead mums - primary schools

Looking at schools for my eldest to enrol in Primary next year, both Foxfield and Heronsgate schools appear to have outstanding OFSTED ratings but I haven’t been around to visit either yet. We are currently very close to Heronsgate but planning to move in a few years to a bigger house, so that may mean further out into Plumstead or ideally Shooters Hill.

Any suggestions or feedback from parents who have experiences with either school? Or, is there a school I am overlooking perhaps (Windrush)?

Hi, I am in the exact same boat, I could have written your post. I'm in the process of visiting schools now.

I would look at Plumcroft - I have experience of both sites as I made the same move from Woolwich up to Plumstead/Shooters Hill a few years ago. My kids are happy there and there is a nice community of parents.

The school had an inspection earlier in the year, it wasn’t graded but the report says the school would be outstanding if it had been a graded inspection.

Bannockburn is rated outstanding too - it might not show up on initial searches as they have recently joined a local academy group
