Which A level physics exam board?

Is there any difference between A level physics exam boards? At school it was just what you were taught, but now picking an A level as adult it seems I should give this some thought? What exam board do most schools do?

My son is applying to start A level Physics - each of the school sixth forms or sixth form colleges has details of which exam board they will be entered for and what the syllabus is.

If you're applying to particular local colleges to study as an adult, I would think that each college will include details of the exam board, assessment and qualification.

I didn't do Maths or Sciences past O level and my exams were 38 years ago. I'm not the person to work out a difference between the exam boards but all of them require a lot of Maths apparently - they say so and I also glanced at some "bridging work" links on the websites of DS1's top two preference sixth forms (his school is 11-16 so all students go elsewhere post-16).
