Need to brush up on my punctuation and grammar

I’m rather embarrassed to say I’m not great at either. I want to support my children (KS2) but to do that I need to be secure in my own knowledge. Could anyone point me to some free online resources that could help me?

Thank you! 💐

For SATS or just generally? SATS stuff is awful and I wouldn't necessarily expect parents to know it all, which is quite a strange concept when you think about it!

There's bitesize

Age yes Bitesize was a great resource. Thank you!

Oak academy has just come back to me too. I could look on there for some online lessons.

You could read Eats, Shoots and Leaves by Lynne Truss for a more fun / less education focused bit of learning / light reading. It’s good!

Get your dc to explain the things they have learnt at school to you. That will kill two birds with one stone.

If you don't have level 2 maths or English (c grade, or 4 or functional skills level 2), courses are normally free too if you fancy actually upskilling.

Admirable, but I wouldn't worry about it too much as the standards of teaching in these topics is pretty low these days. Every single day I hear and read poor English from journalists, presenters, and authors.

Amazing! Thank you for the recommendation. Just what I was after.

The BBC site is amazing. So many things I didn't know easily explained.

I second the CPG books (KS2 teacher here!)
