I think these schools are trying to adapt to the challenging times. It does mean a lot of constant restructuring and change for them as st T/cranmore shifted everything a few years ago. Sounds like Manor House will be the same format- just gain extra pre prep pupils from cranmore/st T. I guess it saves on staff and running costs to make it all more efficient.

I am glad Manor House is staying as it is an amazing school for girls who need something smaller and a real family environment.

Does cranmore have that many year 9-11 pupils?

I think also that Manor House have recognised the inviability of having such a small senior school. I had a daughter there throughout senior school and it was not amazing at all. I know very few parents with anything positive to say about it by the end. In addition to other problems, it is much too small an environment for girls in senior school. Although they are planning on keeping the senior school open going towards, I can see it closing in the future and becoming a nursery/prep school.
