Hello there,
I will be moving to London around August/September for my masters and my College is near Regents' Park. I've emailed many schools but understandably, most schools have said they don't have any spaces available for this year (2023-24 session). But we do have an offer from North Bridge House Prep Regents Park for my kids (ages 9 and 11). The school and the people we interacted with seem very nice and it has an 'outstanding' Ofsted grade too but I would like to find out a bit more about it before I commit. The location works well for us too.
I am also talking to Fulham Prep School and working on kids' assessments etc. This school also looks good (Ofsted 'Good') but is a bit far from my college and ideally, the lesser the distance between my kids and me at any given point, the better.
Also for context, one of my kids is very science-y and the other has many creative pursuits but neither of them is very highly academic-oriented. Also one of my kids wears a very visible outward symbol of our religion and I'm a bit worried about him getting picked on about it. Please help with your thoughts.
My questions are:
- Please share any first hand or second hand reviews about either of the schools. I'd also like to know anything around bullying etc.
- I want to find a place within walking distance from the school but it seems there aren't many options apart from Camden, which Google tells me is the second most unsafe area in London.
Please share your thoughts on this. I'd be so grateful.
Best.
