Hi Mums,
I looked at the old threads but couldn't find a specific comparison. We had a tour of St. George's Junior and Hoe Bridge for our son who is starting reception in September and they could not be more different.
We love Hoe Bridge but we are not sure if our child would fit in and allowed to be a kid as every child was so well behaved during the tour (it's almost too perfect). Would he be under too much pressure if he doesn't conform?
St.George's is very traditional but I feel no one including the children are trying too hard and there's chaos which is expected to be for younger kids. We are not Christians but I have asked the admission and was told only 30% of the children are catholic, so I guess it's not a big concern.
Ultimately we want our son to be happy and be allowed to be a kid but some structure. He just love writing, reading and maths (we never pushed him to do anything), not very keen on physical activities, so a school with academic focus isn't a concern.
Would love to hear your experiences and what you think of the schools. Or any other schools in the area that we should consider?
P.S: We have ruled out Greenfield
TIA
