Bromley commute to JAGs

Just wondering if anyone has experience of the JAGs school run from Bromley. I have seen there is a school coach which is encouraging but just wondering if there are many that do the journey?

We are looking at options for senior school in 2024 and this is at the top of our preference list currently (with DD also). But I am concerned if there will be a limited number of people travelling from this area and also the length of the commute.

Any insight greatly appreciated

I live between you and the school so your post stood out. If you don’t hear anything here, try eastdulwichforum on Facebook (or website) and also elevenplusforum - independents and 6th forms as well as grammar forums.

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. Will take a look there also

If you are planning to take the coach it should be fine. The schools are typically really forthcoming with this information. Just email the registrar and ask how many pupils are using the coach from Bromley and the commute length and pick-up time.

Thank you. Will definitely give that a go.

I do this commute as a teacher and while I can't comment on JAGS specifically, absolutely loads of schoolchildren do the commute along the Southeastern route from Bromley/intervening stations to Herne Hill and the Southern route from Beckenham/intervening stations to North Dulwich, to the schools in the Dulwich area including JAGS.

I see a number of Alleyns, JAGS, Dulwich school children on my Southeastern train. They don’t need the coach, the train seems fine. A coach will be less flexible for clubs etc.

That is reassuring, thanks you very much
