GCSE predicted papers

Has anyone used predicted gcse papers from MME and are they any good? Thinking of getting them for my son who is taking edexcel foundation maths

The idea of predicted maths papers is nonsense, most topics come up most years.

Past papers will be better preparation and are free, here with worked and video solutions.

D'S found them useful as additional resource - they have done recentish past papers already in school. They shouldn't call them predicted papers, all they are are possible papers. The level 9 only maths questions paper was good too.

Past papers so they can pick out small chunks and practice

I think they are bordering on being a scam. You cannot predict the papers for my subject ( science) other than eg photosynthesis and osmosis will always come up. Wouldn’t touch them with a bargepole, spend your money on other things, use the free past papers on the exam boards websites and the internet

I was also impressed with maths genie which gives exam type questions grouped by topic and by the target grade. Also a video on how to tackle and fully worked answers.

DS wasn't doing foundation but I imagine they cover that too. It is free

It can be useful to avoid churning whole papers and so spending lots of time on topics that are already mastered - can be good to alternate, turning to maths genie for any topic that lost marks on a whole paper.

Using predicted papers does not help but revising and solving past papers can markedly improve your grades. You can find past papers on various website.
