PTFA CHAIR

Our PTFA doesn’t seem to be going the way we would like it too, due to some committee and association members having a lack of confidence in our current chair. The events so far this year have not promoted our PTFA and school in the best of lights. The chair insists on moving forward with her own path with her own ideas and taking nobody else’s experience or opinion into account. This has made for a hostile environment within the PTFA and with parents within the school, we also feel this is having a detrimental effect on the current chair and her mental health.
For
the reason stated we feel we need to put forward a letter of no confidents, we understand
we need 10 signatures and it has to be factual within its contents but we are
finding it hard to put this together in the correct format, has anybody got any
suggestions please.

The rest of the committee could <threaten to> resign if the chair won't?

Otherwise I would say something like:
We the undersigned declare we currently have no confidence in X as the chair of the PTA for the following reasons:

1. There was a serious safeguarding incident at the disco whereby child A went missing. Appropriate risk analysis had not been done
2. The Christmas fair managed to make a loss due to excessive spending on decorations by the chair
3. Staff have been promised A and B and C for a total cost of £Y without this going via committee first for approval. We propose an EGM is called for a new election.

However this is pretty nuclear.

It is hard for a PTA chair to just do their own thing. At least a subset of the committee needs to agree, the Treasurer for spending at a minimum, and other people to do tasks. This is why I would go via the threaten to resign if she doesn't route.
