Goffs Oak Schools

Hi everyone, need help with school and education options in Goffs Oak as we are looking to move into the area.

I can see there is Fairfields and Flamstead End primaries both of which look good rating wise.

I am not sure about the secondary options as there seems to be just Goffs Oak Academy which is good.

We are torn between Goffs Oak and Bishops Stortford.

Can you please advise?

I am not from the area but looked into it a bit. Goff's academy streams, I have heard they are more focussed on grade 5 GCSE rather than higher grades (but nothing wrong with that). Beware they have feeder primaries so you will need to have places at one of those, and also live close by the school, there were two other secondaries nearby when I looked which both had 'required improvement ofsted grades'.

I’m not sure you have the correct schools. Goffs Oak is a large village with 2 primary schools one called Goffs Oak primary, the other Woodside.

Then for primary you go towards Cheshunt where you find Goffs Academy and others.

I can’t help you with how good they are as I haven’t lived in the area since I was at school.
