My 17 yr old would like to learn to code, she is looking at Python, can anyone recommend a good online beginners' course please? I haven't got a clue! Thanks

Mine learnt by using a Raspberry Pi and getting books from the library - they have lots of projects you can follow.

Try the free python course on Udemy by Avinash Jain/The Codex. It’s a really good intro. After that there are other courses on there and elsewhere. Never pay the full price for the paid courses on Udemy, there are always offers, e.g. through Unidays if she has a school/college email address.

Python 3 is available for both Windows and Mac. There are plenty free resources online and books. Be careful to stick to Python 3 resources when learning, as Python 2 is slightly different!

Thank you, I've used Udemy myself in the past, so will start with one of their free courses and see where that leads.

Have also ordered this book, so hopefully she'll get on with one of them.
