Uppingham, Oundle or Oakham?

We live about an hour’s drive from these schools. We have been to the Open Mornings and have been very impressed with the Heads of Uppingham and Oundle. We are looking for a September 24 start. DC is academically sound, likes drama but not particularly sporty.

Currently leaning towards Uppingham but I like the campus atmosphere of Oakham. Any recommendations?

As to what schools are cosmopolitan - I have no idea. Look for full boarding schools with a wide intake from many different feeder schools. Oundle has hundreds of feeder schools. Maybe some uk schools in very remote locations would have a narrower feed of incoming pupils but you’d have to ask each school about that. They usually share that data.

It depends on your priorities. A former school friend of mine taught at Oundle until recently (though I won't say which subject), and was very impressed by the pastoral care there. However another friend's DH currently teaches at Uppingham, and maintains that the diversity and richness of the curriculum is better there.
