Snow days and online lessons

During the pandemic, online learning obviously became the norm. This also meant that during other school closures, lessons could be put online for students to do. This is usually great as the students miss much less.
However, if the schools are closed for a couple of days due to snow, do you make your child do the online learning?
We didn't have online lessons in my day and snow days were so much fun! They also happen so very rarely where we live that I feel I should just let the kids (even though one is in college and one on year 10, the primary school child hasn't been set online learning) just go out and enjoy the snow!
I'm just wondering what the general consensus is.

What I said to Ds who loves the snow is that I expected decisions for snow days would be made much more easily, but they'd then have work to do. I will let him take the first day off to go sledging etc, as long as he catches up with the work set in the evening, but after that he has to do the full online lessons.

I felt that was fair and he agreed.
