Hoping there might some fellow parents on here that can help! My little girl has recently been diagnosed with Dyslexia and Visual Processing problems. She is 7 and always marked as "working towards" in her school reports.
We don't live in the catchment area for one of the "better" state secondaries in Bristol and have registered her for a place at Redmaids to start in Year 5.
I am beginning to get concerned about the possibility of them turning her down/her not passing their assessments to join. Does anyone have any experience of or heard of girls not getting into the junior school ?? She is a generally a bright, chatty girl with a nice sense of humor and is excelling at art and swimming outside of school but I worry the tests wont tell the full story. Will obviously look to get her tutored prior to sitting the assessments but still worried!
