Doing a GCSE as an adult

Has anyone done a GSCE as an adult? If so did you do it online or in class? How long did it take? Did you do it through a local college or online and is it expensive?
I'm thinking of re-doing my maths GCSE in order to get a C grade in the hopes it will help when applying for jobs. I just wondered if anybody else had done the same and did it help you at all?

My friend re did her maths gcse. She did an evening course I think you might have a few different options. She did it whilst working full time.

If you haven't already got a C/4, then you should be able to do it for free - try local FE colleges.

I did. But I did it as a hobby. I did GCSE Italian. It was once a week term-time in the evening at my local college. It took a year- September until the exams in early summer.

Are you me? I did this too :)

A friend of mine did GCSE Maths (or the equivalency test she needed to do teacher training). She found a teacher at a local school who was willing to give her some tutoring and arranged to do the test online. I think it took her about six months but she was self-employed at the time so could prioritise the time for it.

There are probably online courses as well.
