Pre-employment health check

Hi. I saw a vacancy in a high school. They are asking for a Pre-employment health check from occupational health. Can the employer find out from my GP about my medication?

I'm not in education Occupational Health but do have experience of pre-placement screening.

We do drug testing for our workplace so you would be asked to declare any medications prior to providing a urine sample.

Prior to attending for drug screening we would ask you to complete a medical questionnaire and to declare any medical conditions (different categories) and if you declare yes to any of them it is likely that you would be contacted by one of the Nursing team to find more information. We wouldn't be able to contact your GP without your written consent.

Not initially but you have to complete the form honestly and it might ask you to state what medication you are currently taking. They can also ask you to meet with the school appointed doctor.
