Date for study leave

Do all schools have their Year 11s leave on the same date for study leave?

In my kids school they don't have study leave, they do all their revision in school even during the exams

Short answer. No.

In 2015 my DD had to be in full time until half term, then after half term, had to attend lessons for which exams weren't all complete yet.
But that was before reformed GCSEs and Covid.

Different schools will have different policies due to differing views of SLT and differing demographics of pupils.

Very variable. DD's school kept them in until the end of the first week back after half-term, and then it was optional. If they'd done the exam for that subject they could just do individual revision. DD went in even when it was optional - she was much better at getting down to the revision in school.
The neighbouring school said they had to go in for lessons for subjects they hadn't yet had the exam in - a friend protested about the wasted travel time going in for one lesson, and they said her son needn't go - possibly that was on a case-by-case basis - he was one who could be relied on to do more at home.

Ds2 went on study leave the Friday before his GCSEs began (mid May)

I don’t know many schools that still have study leave. Ours they had to go in weekends and half terms until exams for revision. Then there was an intense revision session before each exam so they were in school throughout the exams.

Lots of schools don't do study leave anymore. We were let loose end of April and that was it apart from going in for exams. DSs school expect them in everyday. If you have a morning exam you go to revisions sessions in the afternoon and vice versa for afternoon exams.

Most schools don't do study leave any more. Those that do tend to do it after the core exams (maths, English, science) are over
