It's a relatively academic school but a lot of outside tutoring takes place so leaver's destinations are a more a reflection of this than school's teachings. In general, boys are happy there but a pain that they have to be bussed for sports. Parents are very hands-on, whether that's a plus or a negative.

Thankyou for such a honest and candid feedback. What is the impact of new headmaster?

The new headmaster is not as popular as the previous one- seems overwhelmed and loads of boys are leaving

The new head is brilliant. He’s not just charisma like the last one and he works really hard. He’s not overwhelmed. He’s a very experienced head unlike the previous one.

If your DC is genuinely very strong academically do consider places like WUS, the Hall, Sussex house, hereward house, etc. I know these are all different year intakes, locations etc, but academically stronger than Wetherby

The school has no outdoor playground and so boys need to be bused to Acton. Boys spend 30mins on a bus to get to break and 30mins to get back, leaving them with just 30 mins of playtime for an entire day.
