when will dd start nursery if her birthday is at the end of sept?

am pregnant and due in the middle of sept so trying to work out how long i will have two at home etc

ds's brithday is at the end of nov and he didn;t start nursery until jan so was thinking maybe it would be a similar thing or would it be the october term maybe?

Ours start Nursery School the September after they are three. Cut off point is Aug 31st so your will always be one of the oldest children in the year. That means they'll be four just after they start nursery and nearly five when they start school, proper. HTH

It will be January if you have schools with a January intake. Only one of ours schools here takes children in January. The rest of the Sept-onwards-born children have to wait till they're nearly 4 to start nursery.

I think it depends on the area/school. My DS's birthday is 18th Sept and he got into nursery in the August ie when he was 2.11.

Yes we were talking to a nursery recently, my DS's birthday is in October, and they gave us the impression they would take him early i.e. in the September. Although I suppose it depends on the child and how you feel about they will cope this early.

My DD was 3 in November -and she started nursery the day after her birthday.

Round here she wouldn't get a school nursery place until the following September when she would be nearly four - but most kids go to a playgroup/preschool first. Most of those will take them from 2.5 with funding available from 3.
