Interview at Kings Wimbledon aged 11 - what will they ask?

My son has an interview at Kings College Wimbledon this week. Does anyone have any experience of the types of question that get asked at interviews at age 11?

Not experience for there but used to work at a private school and we'd be looking for an ability to communicate well, form opinions and justify them, and reason ideas and arguments. The best advice to him is to be as relaxed as possible and be himself, difficult i know at that age as it is a bit daunting but the less nervous and shy he is the better he will come across.
good luck to your ds.

I don't know about this school but back when I was 11 I remember being asked what book I had read recently and discussing it...no idea if this type of question is still asked.

I remember the headmistress of one school asking me 'So, your father does XYZ for a living, does he?' and me saying 'Oh, does he? I don't know.'

I got in. So don't worry. You can be completely clueless and still succeed at these exams.

Ds1 got asked:

  • How had he enjoyed the day (full day in school including 3 exams)
  • What his favourite subjects are at school
  • Whether he had any hobbies
  • What his school preferences/choices were

I think that was about it. (Ds1 doesn't need much coaxing to talk a lot!)

Presumably there will be some kind of womble related question in there
