St ANSELMS BAKEWELL.

So I have read a previous thread about this school from a few years ago that appeared to off had several posts heavily redacted ( removed) by this forum. I was just wondering if anybody had any experiences either negative or positive to share about the school in question since that particular thread.

What was the previous thread about?

You may have abandoned this thread as it's a little old OP but if not I am very familiar with S.Anselm's and without knowing what the post was exactly I would take a guess it would have been about a previous headmaster who many parents and staff had a problem (or two!) with. That head has gone so many of the problems went with him.

Very recently the school amalgamated with Birkdale, a day school in Sheffield. The merger has meant that pupils at 13 have a guaranteed senior school place should they wish to have a local private day option but those doing the traditional route of 13+CE to a bigger boarding school can also do that. I am led to believe that when this happens there will be buses to and from both sites to make things easier for parents/pupils.

S.A will keep its identity and has it's own head, Lisa Donnelly, but there is merging in terms of costs and facilities. Nothing has changed so far this term except having fibre broad band installed!
