Learning Farsi

Afternoon,

Just wondered if anyone has any recommendations for learning basic Farsi. Our DDs are 1/4 Iranian and me and DH were thinking of some informal learning we could do as a family to start a love of language with something related to our girls.

DDs are 5 and 7. DH can understand some Farsi but can't speak it.

A Rosetta Stone course might help with some basic words and phrases.

Is Rosetta Stone ok for young children though? DD5 has just started to read at school.

They need to be exposed to the language as well as doing any more formal learning, otherwise its unlikely to stick, especially if there's no one around to correct them, answer questions etc.
As your husband already understands your best bet is for him to learn to speak it, and use it around the kids.
